Exam papers - Take a practice exam
Use the Exam Paper to get exam practice and to discover which topics were examined in previous years. Print out the Exam Paper and read the information on the first pages to find the amount of time and materials allowed. Assemble everything you’ll need to sit the exam and then find yourself a quiet corner. Make sure you put away all your books to help avoid the temptation to cheat! Next, start your stopwatch and take the practice exam, making sure you read each question carefully before you answer it. If you get stuck on a question, don’t panic; go on to the next question and come back to it at the end. Do ensure you leave time at the end of the exam to check all your answers and make sure that you’ve answered all the questions you need to.

Answer Sheets - Mark your own exam
Once you’ve finished your practice exam, give yourself a pat on the back – you’ve already improved your chances for the real thing! Now it’s time to find out how well you did by printing out the Answer Sheet.
The Answer Sheet is the document used by real examiners when they mark your exams. It shows how marks are allocated for each question. If you’d like to see more in-depth, user-friendly answers, you can download Model Answers for a growing number of subjects – see below for more details.
Using the Answer Sheet, award yourself marks according to your correct answers and then add up all the marks at the end to give yourself a total mark for your paper. You can find out what percentage you got by dividing your total mark by the total number of marks available for the exam. This will give you an idea of how you performed. Make a note of any questions that you found particularly difficult; you can try these questions again after you have revised those topics.
The Answer Sheet can also be used to get an idea of what the Examiners will be looking for in the exam. For example, you generally get one mark for each correct statement that you make. So, if a question is only worth one mark, don’t write a long essay – you probably just need to make one key point. If a question is worth three marks, make sure that you include three relevant points.

Examiner Reports - Avoid common mistakes
The Examiner Reports are written by examiners at the end of each exam series. The Reports contain information about how students generally performed on each question. By reading the Report you can discover the common errors that were made, so that you can avoid making similar mistakes in your real exam. If you swot up on any key problem areas, you’re sure to pick up extra marks in your exams.
